FAQ

What is CBD?

CBD (Cannabidiol) is one of over 85 different cannabinoids found in the hemp and cannabis plants. CBD are the actual molecules that interact with various receptors in your body. CBD is non-psychoactive meaning it will not give you the “high” THC is known for. CBD is similar to a compound that our bodies produce naturally called endocannabinoids. All our products are manufactured using industrial hemp.

Is CBD Legal?

Yes! The passing of the 2018 Farm Bill made industrial hemp legal in all 50 states. All our products are derived from industrial hemp. There are currently no restrictions on sale, production, and consumption of hemp oil in the United States. CBD is legal in most countries as long as it contains low or in some country’s untraceable concentrations of THC.

Will I fail a drug test if I take CBD?

It is unlikely to fail a drug test because of CBD, CBD is chemically distinct from THC. Most drug tests test for the presence of THC or THC metabolites, rather than cannabinoids. Our products made with CBD isolate and broad spectrum CBD contain 0% THC, verified by our third party lab tests. We suggest using CBD isolate or broad spectrum CBD products if drug testing is a concern. All our products are independently tested by a third party and the results can be found on our website.

Can I overdose on CBD?

It is largely believed that a person cannot overdose on any sort of cannabis or CBD. To date there are no instances where a person has died from consuming too much cannabis, CBD or THC. Because cannabinoid receptors are not located in the brainstem it cannot alter your body’s key functions like breathing, unlike opioids for example where receptors are located in the brainstem.

Will CBD get me high or impair my ability to function normally?

No, CBD is non-psychoactive which means it does not impact your mind or mental processes. Only THC will provide the traditional “high” marijuana is known for. Because our products contain 0% or <0.3% THC, your ability to function normally with not be altered.

How does CBD work?

CBD works by activating the CB1 and CB2 receptors found within the naturally present Endocannabinoid system (ECS). The CB1 receptors are present throughout the body but are primarily in the brain. The CB1 receptors in the brain deal with coordination and movement, pain, emotions and mood, thinking, appetite, memories as well as other minor functions. The CB2 receptors are mostly in the peripheral organs, especially cells associated with the immune system. The CB2 receptors affect inflammation and pain. The roll of the Endocannabinoid system is to bring balance and create homeostasis to our tissues including the heart, digestive, endocrine, immune, nervous, and reproductive systems.

What is Homeostasis?

Homeostasis means all your systems and bodily functions are working well, adapting to your bodies needs, and maintaining your body’s balance.

What is the Endocannabinoid System (ECS)?

The Endocannabinoid System may be the system that connects and balances many of our physiological systems which support our bodies and overall health. Knowledge of how the ECS works may help you to take better control of your health and support your quest to alleviate pain, inflammation, anxiety, depression, stress, neuropathy, and many more ailments. It is also thought to aid and enhance sleep, skin health, and help with digestive issues.

The human body creates neurotransmitters that act as the communicating system between different cells throughout the body. Endocannabinoids are a type of neurotransmitter created within our bodies. CBD acts upon two types of cannabinoid receptors called CB1 and CB2. CBD simply acts like a key to unlock and activate the system.

Terpenes are natural compounds that are responsible for scent and aroma of fruits, flowers, and herbs.
